Relative yields of some $gamma$-ray emitting nuclides from the thermal neutron fission of $sup 235$U

Cumulative yields of some fission products from thermal neutron fission of /sup 235/U were determined relative to each other by comparing the gamma -ray spectrum of an irradiated fuel sample with the single spectra of standard sources of the same fission products. Special emphasis was given to the yields of the fission products /sup 103/Ru, /sup 131/I, and /sup 141/Ce because the recommended values in various recent compilations differ by up to 5%. Assuming a value of 5.35% for the cumulative yield of /sup 144/Ce one obtains 3.06% for /sup 103/Ru, 2.91% for /sup 131/I and 5.75% for /sup 141/Ce with relat ive measurement uncertainties of about 2%.
