Absorptive parts and double spectral functions associated with dual amplitudes

Journal Article · · Phys. Lett., B, v. 48B, no. 2, pp. 141-144
A phenomenologically successiul dual amplitude with logarithmic trajectories ls studied. The delta function imaginary parts of the amplitude are approximated by an averaged'' imaginary part. As expected, the resulting averaged s-channel discontinuity vanishes when alpha (t) = 0, --1, --2,... and also gives rise to a double spectral function with a correct hyperbolic boundary. It is argued that the dual amplitude has properties which are very similar to those expected from a composite particle model. (auth)
