Measurement of live steam moisture content using the throttling method

A continuous direct-reading steam moisture gauge operating on the basis of throttling method is described. Effects which have to be taken into consideration during indispensable sampling are elucidated. Preliminary results of measurements obtained in the Rheinsberg nuclear power plant live steam line are discussed. Considerations of accuracy show that by use of this gauge low moisture contents may be measured with sufficiently low tolerance. (auth)
