ABS>From international nuclear industries fair; Basel, Switzerland (16 Oct 1972). No-distortion electron-beam welding can now be applied to large size thick walled parts. Significant economy could be realized by replacing conventional methods of welding and subsequent machining by E. B. welding. This method allows designing assemblies while eliminating practically all bolts in the core internals. Development of original devices in the general design can be achieved through this process.
