Investigations were made of the competing BETA /sup +/ - BETA /sup -/ decay in In/sup 114/. The electronic decay of In/sup 114/ results in a nucleus with proton completed shell Sn/sup 114/. The BETA /sup +/- BETA /sup -/ decay was studied to determine the factors affecting the degree of forbiddenness in BETA transitions. (R.V.J.)
