A single stone of 600 grams was recovered at 51 deg 47' N. and 1 deg 47' W. soon after its fall at 4.30 p.m. on August 4, 1835. Abundant monoclinic Ca- poor pyroxene and turbid glass indicate that this chondrite is petrologic grade 4. The olivine composition, Fa/sub 28/, shows that it is an amphoterite. It is therefore classified LL4, rather than LL5 ran Schmus and Wood, 1967). A chemical analysis with a total Fe = 20.24% (wt.) and (Fe + Mn) x 100: (Fe + Mn + Mg) = 27.3 (molec.), is presented.
