S3G/S4G PRELIMINARY DESIGN DESCRIPTION EMERGENCY PRESSURIZING SYSTEM
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4346921
The emergency pressurizing system is designed to maintain cooling system pressure during periods in which pressurized coolant demands exceed the capacity of ihe pressurizer. The system consists of a bank of high pressure water fiasks and the necessary piping and valves for pressurizing the flasks with air and injecting the water into the charging system. Flasks may be refilled by forcing water through charging system piping or by loading charging water storage tanks with low pressure air. Resign specifications and drawings and performance characteristics are given. (D.E.B.)
