The decay Ba/sup 133/ yields Cs/sup 133/ has been investigated by means of a coincidsnce scintillation spectrometer. The energy values of the most intense transitions are determined to be 81, 302, and 355 Kev. Five new gamma transitions were found having the energies 53, 78, 160, 274, and 380 Kev. The results of the coincidence measurements are given for these gamma rays. A consistent decay scheme is proposed for Ba/sup 133/ yields Cs/sup 133/. The spin and parity values for the states in Cs/sup 133/ are discussed, together with possible consequences for the Coulomb excitation of Cs/sup 133/. It is also found that the mean mode of the decay of Ba/sup 133/ is the K capture to the highest excited level of Cs/sup 133/, which disagree with the previously reported results. The possible explanation of this capture is discussed. (auth)
