Translated from Prib. Tekn. Eksp.; 16: No. 4, 35-38(1973). A system for automated measurement of the total cross section of gamma -quantum absorption by nuclei using the Ural-11B electronic computer operating on the experimental line is described. The system records data on magnetic tape, corrects them for the drift of the parameters of the recording equipment, performs further mathematical handling, and also controls the operation of external devices.
