GADOLINIUM ISOTOPE WITH MASS 146

Journal Article · · Soviet Phys. JETP
OSTI ID:4345848

When tantalum is bombarded with 660-Mev protons, new Gd isotopes are formed which have been hitherto unreported. In fractions of Eu separated from pure fractions of Gd a radioisotope was observed that decays with a period of 1.6 days in accord with data for Ei/sup 146/. The period of the parent substance, Gd/ sup 146/ was determined to be 12 plus or minus 4 hours. (A.C.)
