TRANSPORT PHENOMENA IN A COMPLETELY IONIZED TWO-TEMPERATURE PLASMA

A system of transport equations has been obtained for a plasma consisting of electrons and one kind of positive ions placed in an electric and magnetic field. The system includes the continuity equations, equations of motion, and the equation of heat transport for electrons and ions. The electron and ion temperatures are considered to be different. The case of arbitrary ratio of the particle collision frequency to the Larmor frequency is considered. The derivation of the transport equations from the kinetic equations is similar to that of Chapman and Cowling. (auth)
