Some of the requirements are presented for the periodic inspection of light water reactor steel pressure vessels with reference to ASME XI. Manipulator devices and closed-circuit television techniques are described. A B- scan presentation device which gives a cross-section picture of the weld being examined ultrasonically is also described. (4 references) (auth)
