ENERGY AND ANGULAR DISTRIBUTION OF NEUTRONS EMITTED IN THE Be$sup 9$(d,n)B$sup 10$ REACTION

Journal Article · · Soviet Phys. JETP
OSTI ID:4342145

The energy spectra and angular distributions of neutrons from the Be/sup 9/(d,n)B/sup 10/ reaction have been investigated at deuteron energies of 0.5, 0.8, 1.O, 1.2, 1.4, and 1.6 Mev. The excitation curve for this reaction indicates a resonance /. The angular distribution corresponding to an excited state in Bio with excitation energy E/sub x/ = 3.62 Mev points to the existence of a stripping mechanism. The angular distributions of reactions involving the formation of compound nuclei are appreciably distorted on passage through a resonance. (auth)
