Standard specification for low-carbon Ni--Mo--Cr alloy plate, sheet, and strip

The products covered shall be supplied in the following conditions: (1) sheet and strip--hot- or cold-rolled, solution-heattreated, and descaled unless heated in an atmosphere yielding a bright finish; and (2) plate--hot-rolled, solution-heat-treated, and descaled. Plate material shall be 3/16 in. and over and sheet and strip under 3/16 in. in thickness. The Ni-base alloy chemical requirements are 14.5 to 18.5% Cr, 3.0 to 4.5% W, 4.0 to 7.0% Fe, 15.0 to 17.0% Mo, 2.5% max. Co, with other minor constituents under 1%. Mechanical properties, grain size, and permissible variations are specified in tables. (LMT)
