Two-step mechanism in the reaction $sup 208$Pb(p,t)

It is shown that the differential cross section for the reaction /sup 208/Pb(p,t) leading to the 3+ (1.34-MeV) state of /sup 206/Pb can be understood in terms of a two-step (p,d) -(d,t) mechanism. (auth)
