Complex formation of trivalent ions of americium, curium, and promethium with ethylenediamino-bis-methylphosphonic acid at an ionic strength of 0.5 and a temperature of 25 deg C was investigated by ion exchange on a cationite. The complexes STAM(H/sub 2/A)!/sup +/ are formed at pH < 7; this was confirmed by pH potentiometry data. (auth)
