Evaluation of the interatomic interactions in some Laves phases (in Russian)

Polarization of the component atoms in Laves phases, formed by metals of the IVA and VA groups with Cr and Fe (TiCr/sub 2/, ZrCr/sub 2/, NbCr/sub 2/, TiFe/ sub 2/, and ZrFe/sub 2/) was examined. Comparison of the Ti, Zr, and Nb alloys hardened by the Laves phase (investigation of the profiles along a metal-- Laves phase cross section in the corresponding ternary systems) with evaluation of the interatomic interactions in the compounds made it possible to indicate the increase of the fragility threshold in alloys containing phases where Fe is the B component.
