A COMPACT UNIT FOR POTENTIOMETRIC AND "DEAD-STOP END-POINT" TITRIMETRY
A transistor-operated arrangement is described which is generally suitable for normal, differential, and dead-stop end-point'' titrimetry. High- resistance titration systems, such as those involving the glass electrode, are excluded, since the titrimeter draws a current of a few microamperes from the system. Even with transistors selected at random, the zero is stable and the response is closely linear. An input e.m.f. of 100 mv produces meter readings of about 10 and 50 mu a, respectively, at minimum and maximum sensitivity. (L.T.W.)
