A model of hadronic U/sub 3/-symmetry-breaking mechanism was previously proposed where the three triplets of scalar mesons play inportant roles in the Higgs --Kibble phenomena. The selfenergies of the octet pseudoscalar mesons to the second-order approximation in perturbation are computed. It is shown that each mass difference does not converge, while the correction to the Okubo --Gell- Mann mass formula is finitely obtained and is found to be of order epsilon /sup 2/, where epsilon is an SU-3 breaking parameter.
