A Geiger-Mueller counter of the flow type with a 4 3/4inch diameter window is described. The adaptation of this counter to 4 pi counting is discussed. It is con cluded that the counter described is suitable for counting large area sources up to 4 inches in diameter and can be adapted to 4 pi counting. (auth)
