THE INFLUENCE OF POLARIZATION ON THE EFFECTIVE CROSS SECTIONS FOR MOLLER AND BHABHA SCATTERING (in German)

The polarization of electrons and positrons can be determined through scattering of oriented electrons. A knowledge of the scattering cross section is necessary. Experimental work was accomplished only for the special case of parallel or antiparallel orientation of the spins against each other. The differential effective cross section for the scattering of longitudinally polarized electrons and positrons by resting randonly polarized electrons was given explicitly. (tr-auth)
