Multi-body production of mesons

Book ·
OSTI ID:4334138
From international symposium on electron and photon interactions at high energies; Bonn, Germany (27 Aug 1973). A discussion is given on multimeson photo and electroproduction, particularly discussing the problem of how individual final states build up the total cross section. Individual final states will be defined in terms of charged particle multiplicities, channel cross sections and contributions due to resonance channels. Photoproduction data on proton and neutron targets, with particular emphasis on possible differences between them is considered. The few results on electroproduction which are available at this time will be examined as a function of Q/sup 2/ and W, and again for electroproduction one looks at particle production in terms of t and M(x), the t- channel variable s, and finally, on possible contributions from individual final states to the pi /sup +// pi /sup -/ ratio.
