DEFLECTION OF FINS IN CALDER REACTORS

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4333942
Both the heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics of the Calder reactor fuel elements have been found to be markedly affected by a slight bowing of the fins. It is shown that there will be no significant creep deflection of the fins in the Calder reactor as a result of stress imposed by the coolant flow. (M.H.R.)
