Declassified 27 Nov 1973. The aerothermodynamic performance characteristics of the Tory IIC reactor are described. The results of an extensive analytic study of the system are presented. The reactor is treated both from the standpoint of a nuclear ramjet heat source and a test stand device. In an effort to provide as complete a coverage as possible the data are displayed in graphical form. By means of the charts and tables presented the reader may evaluate the aerothermodynamic performance of Tory IIC over an extensive range of operating conditions. A brief discussion of the mathematical models and techniques employed in the analysis is also presented. Experimental data from the Tory IIC nuclear power runs are analyzed and found to be in excellent agreement with analytic predictions derived previously. 11 references. (auth)
