Polar light particle emission in spontaneous fission of $sup 252$Cf

Journal Article · · Phys. Lett., B, v. 48B, no. 4, pp. 311-314
OSTI ID:4332342

The energy-angular distributions of the light particles emitted in spontaneous fission of /sup 252/Cf were measured. The yields of protons, tritons and alpha -particles at small angles with respect to the fission axis, Y(0 deg )/ Y(90 deg ), are found to be (121 plus or minus 14), (2.0 plus or minus 0.3) and (4.44 plus or minus 0.08)% correspondingly. The conclusion is made that polar alpha -particle emission holds for both light and heavy fragments. (auth)
