The Solar Heating and Cooling for Buildings Workshop reviewed the status of solar energy for U. S. building applications as of March, 1973. Thirty-six technical papers were presented. Sessions were held on solar collectors, energy storage, domestic hot water heating, energy conservation and insolation, solar air-conditioning, and building systems for solar heating and cooling. Some foreign activities were also reviewed. The papers covered proposed research and proposed systems, as well as on-going research and existing operating systems. (auth)
