ROD WITHDRAWAL TRANSIENTS

Results of an analog computer study of rod withdrawal transients for both power and subpower operation of the Shippingport Pressurlzed Water Reactor Power Plant are glven. These results are expected to compare wlth perlod V test data, the Controlled Safety Test-Rod Wlthdrawal Translents. It is concluded that lnsofar as bolllng and burnout are concerned, safe conditions will prevail even if the reactor protection system falls. (T.R. H.)
