Translated from Metalloved. Term. Obrab. Metal.; 15: No. 7, 22-24(Jul 1973). Results of investigations show that the addition of molybdenum instead of tungsten to cast cobalt-base alloys Mar-M-509 and FSX-414 does not lower the long- term strength or ultimate strength, increases the ductility and elongation in long-term strength tests, and lowers the density at room temperature. The thermal expansion coefficients, microstructural characteristics, and solidification are the same. (auth)
