Young adult female white rats which were injected with radioactive promethium (Pm(sup 147) were treated with the calcium salts of (ethylenediamine) tetraacetic acid and/or cortisone. The treatment increased the blood concentratton of Pm(sup 147) a little. EDTA treatment reduced the amount of prometrium in the liver by about 20%, but in other typical soft cellular tissue and in the femur none of the treatments altered the general distribution of Pm(sup 147). The autoradiographic observations showed that the local distribution of Pm(sup 147) is similar to that of other lanthanide elements. (auth)
