By a chronopotentiometric method, the diffusion coefficients of trivalent uranium in molten NaBr, NaI, KBr, KI, CsBr, and CsI were measured at temperatures froin 939 to 1166 deg K. It was shown that the rate of diffusion of U/sup 3+/ ions in molten bromides and iodides, as in chlorides, is decreased in going from sodium to cesium. The effect of the salt-solvent cation in bromide and iodide melts is less than in chlorides. The effect of the anion environment related to the total cation of the salt medium is most strongly expressed in the case of sodium and the least in the case of cesium. (tr-auth)
