The block diagram of a liquid scintillation counter is described. The high efficiency of registration of BETA particles from tritium (about 40%) is attained because of the use of the low-noise type FEU-93 photomultiplier. The low background level (about 0.3%) is attained because of the use of a pulse filter, which automatically compensates the background in the sampling zone of the registered BETA radiation.
