Investigation of the performance of a cold trap for sodium impurities (in Russian)

Test results of an air-cooled cold trap for sodium impurities are presented. The relative distribution in height of sodium oxide as it accumulates was measured by teans of gamma-ray radioscopy. The dependence of heat transfer coefficients on the flow rates of air and sodium and the quantity of accumulated oxides was found. Coefficients of oxygen retention in the trap were determined. (auth)
