MUON ANGULAR DISTRIBUTION FROM PION DECAY IN EMULSIONS

An investigation on the angular distribution of mu mesons originating in pi decays in nuclear emulsion was made. Measurements performed on 6978 mesons are discussed; the conclusion was that, if several instrumental effects are taken into account, any asymmetry is eliminated. These instrumental effects are discussed and the results compared with those obtained by other authors. (auth)
