PHOTOMETRIC DETERMINATION OF CERIUM AS A PEROXIDE COMPLEX (in German)

Journal Article · · Zhur. Anal. Khim.
OSTI ID:4324596
The principal defect of former methods is the precipitation of a colored compound. Glycerine has been suggested for stabilizing the solution in the presence of complexone III. When complexone II is used a finely dispersed colored cerium complex is formed and there is no need in stabilizers. The possibility of dissolving rare earths oxalates (without igniting them) by the direct dissolving of oxalates in sulfuric acid with persulfate or in nitric acid with permanganate was demonstrated.
