The heat nf solution of anhydrous plutonium trichloride in aqueous perchloric acid and in perchloric acid-lithium perchlorate solutions at constant ionic strength was measured. The results provide further evidence for the formation of a chloride complex by the tervalent plutonium ion and an approximate value for the change of heat contant accompanying its formation was calculated.
