Effect of high pressure on quadrupole interaction of $sup 181$Ta in metallic Hf

Journal Article · · Phys. Status Solidi (b), v. 61, no. 2, pp. K59-K69
Differential perturbed angular correlation measurements were performed at pressures from 0 to 50 kbar. Samples were prepared by neutron irradiation of natural Hf, producing /sup 181/Hf which decays to /sup 181/Ta. Results show that the electric field gradient increases with pressure, while its asymmetry parameter does not change. (DLC)
