In this textbook for students of agricultural schools the following topics are covered: the nature of rocket-nuclear warfare, the role and problems of civil defense applicable to agricultural production areas; organization of civil defense in agricultural regions, at cooperative farms, and at state farms; the nature of biological, chemical, and radiation surveys and dosimetric control; protection of the population from the action of nuclear, chemical, and biologcal materials in agricultural production areas; the planning of civil defense problems of organization and supervision of emergency and urgent accident restoration work in the agricultural production areas contaminated by radioactive, chemical, and biological materials and contaminated areas in cities.
