Pressure-sensitive seals on containers used for onsite storage of SNM are passive devices that indicate, upon inspection, whether tampering or entry has occurred. These seals may also serve as labels. This guide provides criteria acceptable to the USAEC Regulatory staff for selecting, affixing, and testing pressuresensitive seals used for tamper-safing in connection with the onsite storage of SNM for compliance with the Commission's regulations with respect to material control.
