ZIRCONIUM HIGHLIGHTS

The relationship of cooling rate to the corrosion resistance and the effect of heat treatment on the tensile and corrosion properties of Zircaloy-2 are reported. A study of consumable-electrode melting conditions, the effect of H/sub 2/ on the alpha-plus-beta phase limits of Zircaloy-2, the flare and flatten testing of Zircaloy tubing, and duplex corrosion tests are presented.
