Electromagnetic Cherenkov radiation from tachyons

Using the principles of duality and tachyonization, it is shown that a tachyon can emit Cherenkov radiation only in a superluminal medium, and namely when it happens to travel in the tachyonic medium with speed slower than the apparent light speed in that medium. It is concluded that previous experimental searches for tachyons were expected to fail, since founded on the wrong hypothesis that tachyons would always emit electromagnetic Cherenkov radiation, even in vacuum or in a bradyonic medium.
