The equation of Ruderman and Karplus, Q(/sup -/) = 0.4 (17)/sup 1/ (E/ sub b/)/sup 1/2/, which predicts a spin of 1/2 and 3/2 for the D/sup o/ when 1 = 0, and 1, is analyzed for mass effects. (D.E.B.)
