Loviisa nuclear power station: a review at the halfway mark

The background to construction of the 440MW(e) PWR power station at Loviisa is briefiy discussed. The main parameters, details of the site layout, and construction of the reactor building are summarized. Some safety aspects and operational considerations are outlined. Several,questions, mainly on safety, are replied to in the discussion. (UK)
