The uranium is separated from a solution of the metal by means of a column of cellulose powder and a solution of nitric acid in ether. The uranium is determined fluorimetrically. The methcd is applicable to 0.1 to 10 ppm concentrations. Higher values may be determined by further dilution of the final solution. (auth)
