CAMAC: serial system organization

A Serial Highway for interconnecting CAMAC crates and a System Controller is described. The Serial Highway uses either a bitserial or a byte- serial mode of transferring data and control infomnation. Up to 62 crates may be accommodated. In addition, a Serial Crate Controller (SCC) is defined that may be used in either bit-serial or byte-serial mode, at the option of the user. (auth)
