Exact time-dependent spatial and legendre moments for the monoenergetic transport equation

Time-dependent mixed spatial and Legendre moments are defined for the monoenergetic transport equation in spherical and slab coordinates. For an infinite medium, a pulsed source at the origin gives rise to finite closed sets of equations which can be solved to give exact results. Examples are given, and the transformation connecting spherical and slab moments is derived. (auth)
