Journal Article · · J. Nucl. Med., v. 15, no. 4, pp. 261-265
OSTI ID:4311227
Comparison of /sup 123/I and /sup 131/I far thyroid scans and uptakes was undertaken to evaluate their diagnostic values in conjunction with instrumental efficacy for /sup 123/I. By far the superior quality images were obtained with /sup 123/I. Further, both the lower absorbed radiation dose and the shorter scanning time required indicate that /sup 123/I is the radionuclide of choice for thyroid studies. (auth)
