A DETERMINATION OF THE NUCLEAR MOMENTS OF Gd$sup 155$ AND Gd$sup 157$ FROM THE HYPERFINE STRUCTURE OF PARAMAGNETIC RESONANCE (in Russian)

The nuclear spins-(3/2) and the ratio of magnetic moments mu (Gd/sup 155/) : mu (Gd/sup 157/) = 0.73 plus or minus 0.03 are determined from the hyperfine structure of paramagnetic resonance in phosphorus SrS--Gd. From a comparison of hyperfine splittings in the spectra of Eu/sup 2+/ and Gd/sup 3+/ in phosphorus SrS, and employing for mu (Eu/sup 151/) the value 3.6 nuclear magnetons, the values are obtained: mu (Gd/sup 155/) = 0.25 mu (Gd/sup 157/) = 0.34 nuclear magnetons.
