The energy distributions of neutrons produced by the passage of 14-Mev neutrons through Th/sup 232/ U/sup 233/, U/sup 235/, U/sup 238/, and Pu/sup 239/ were measured. The secondary neutron spectra of the investigated isotopes had two components, fission neutrons and evaporation neutrons. The dependence of coefficients of secondary neutron spectra on the nuclear constant of corresponding isotopes was determined, permitting the determination of the coefficients without experimental investigation of neutron spectra.
