NEW CONFINEMENT PHENOMENA AND NEUTRON PRODUCTION IN A LINEAR STABILIZED PINCH

A linear discharge device, Columbus S-4, was constructed to test the effect of increased tube diameter and inter-electrode spacing on the properties of a B/sub z/-stabilized pinched discharge. This device is briefly described and some data obtained with it are given. (M.H.R.)
