Translated from Probl. Prochnosti; 5: No. 1, 24-27(Jan 1973). The creep and long term strength under axial loading were determined using a special vacuum device. Results of the investigation show that the relationship between the load and fatigue life for the composition titanium--molybdenum and its components is described by a power function. In assessing the strength of titanium--molybdenum compositions use can be made of the law of additivity. The reinforcement of titanium by molybdenum fibers substantially improves its strength. (JRD)
